A live dvd/cd release of the two Joe Zawinul tribute concerts from 2008 will be released later this year. These concerts featured a wide selection of Zawinul compositions adapted for large orchestra and rhythm section. The first concert was performed at the famous Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in January of '08 and the second took place at the North Sea Jazz Festival the summer of the same year. They were performed by the truly unique and amazing Metropole Orchestra under the direction of Vince Mendoza and featured besides Jim; Peter Erskine, Victor Bailey, Amit Chatterjee, Alex Acuna, Efrain Toro and Richard Bona.

Jim is planning on recording a solo piano CD to be released in the spring of '11.
